Powered Cleaning Equipment

At all ECOMAIDS Truly–Green residential cleaning service providers, our powered floor maintenance equipment – including vacuum cleaners – is equipped with controls or devices to capture and collect fine particulates, and operates at a sound level below 70 dBA.

Our vacuum cleaners are equipped with appropriate filters or bags, which are changed or cleaned after each service. We take all the proper precautions to limit worker and vulnerable population exposure to dust and particulates while cleaning and replacing bags or filters. All ECOMAIDS vacuum cleaners, at minimum, meet CRI Green Label Program requirements – or equivalent — and all have HEPA multi–level filtration systems. In order to receive the CRI Seal of Approval or Green Label Certification, vacuums must pass rigorous laboratory tests for soil removal, dust containment, and carpet fiber retention. All ECOMAIDS residential cleaning service providers use a canister or backpack system; upright models are not allowed.

At ECOMAIDS, we ensure that all powered equipment is certified as functional by the manufacturer or a qualified third party. We also perform quarterly inspections and maintenance programs with written documentation of compliance. Any unfit or malfunctioning equipment is tagged out of service until appropriate repairs can be made to bring the equipment up to standards.
