All ECOMAIDS Truly–Green residential cleaning service providers use only microfiber tools, cloths, and mops to perform all cleaning tasks. Our cleaning teams use specialized microfiber dusting tools that are designed to reach every corner and crevice, microfiber window washing tools that clean effectively and minimize streaking, and ergonomic, water–efficient microfiber mopping systems.
Microfiber is made up of very fine threads of polyester and polyamide (nylon) that combine to form a single thread. These microfibers are 100 times thinner than a single strand of human hair — so thin, that when they are woven together, they create a surface area greater than 40 times that of a regular fiber. This creates an expanded surface area that is dramatically more absorbent.
Microfiber dislodges and grabs oils and fine particles from crevices where regular cotton cloths, sponges, and scrub pads can't reach. Our microfiber cloths and mop pads contain 30 times the cleaning power of ordinary cleaning cloths or pads. Because microfiber can absorb up to seven times its weight in fluids, it requires less water, can be used multiple times, and lasts much longer than conventional string mops and cleaning cloths. Microfiber cloths are so durable that they can be washed up to 1,000 times while still maintaining their effectiveness, making them an extremely sustainable product.
