An essential part of the ECOMAIDS Truly–Green residential cleaning system is our strict use of environmentally–preferable cleaning products, tools, and equipment. By doing so, we reduce the risk to our workers and the environment while the products are being used. We also reduce the life–cycle environmental impacts associated with the manufacturing and disposal of these products. All ECOMAIDS Truly–Green residential cleaning service providers use only certified environmentally–preferable products for which a Green Seal or comparable standard has been established.

ECOMAIDS does not allow the use of any of the following chemicals at any Truly–Green provider location:

• 2-Butixyethanol
• Alkyphonl ethoxylates and their derivatives
• Carcinogens
• Ethelyne diaminetetraacetic acid or its derivatives
• Formaldehyde donors
• Heavy metals, lead, hexavalent chromium, or selenium, in their elemental form or compounds
• More than 1% reactive chlorine compounds or active chlorine carriers
• Mutagens
• Optical brighteners
• Ozone–depleting compounds
• Phthalates
• Reproductive toxins

In addition to our ongoing testing and evaluation of green cleaning products on the market, ECOMAIDS is the only national cleaning service franchise that exclusively uses Green Seal certified cleaning products. These highly effective, environmentally–preferable cleaning products are not only used by our cleaning teams, but they are also available for sale to the general public.
