Cleaning Procedures

All of our ECOMAIDS Truly-Green residential cleaning service providers follow our strict procedures for green cleaning that are designed to effectively clean and sanitize your home with minimal environmental impact. These green cleaning procedures include:

  • Cleaning each home from top to bottom, back to front, and inside out to prevent recontamination of areas that have already been cleaned and sanitized.
  • Performing of all dry cleaning tasks before moving on to any wet cleaning tasks to prevent recontamination of surfaces that have already been cleaned.
  • Clearly labeling and separating all equipment, tools, and products we use to clean restrooms. This prevents any unintended spread of organisms and any other restroom contaminants to other areas of the home. We use a color–coded system for using, storing, and cleaning our microfiber cloths as well as other tools and products. This system is universally implemented at all of our ECOMAIDS locations in order to prevent cross–contamination.
  • Using only EPA–recognized disinfectants and disinfecting devices. We only use these items when necessary, because disinfectants are designed to kill living organisms and may pose a threat to human health if used incorrectly.
  • Placing emphasis on cleaning and sanitizing any surfaces that routinely come in contact with food or human hands.
  • Following other specific requirements for cleaning your floors, restrooms, and kitchens.
